the summer used to leave me with a broken heart
as i sat waiting for the fall to save me
but now the summer heals my wounds
and the fall opens my eyes
the summer used to be my worst enemy working against me
the fall played my knight in shining armor
the fall kept me warm and the summer turned me into ice
summer has turned onto fall
and fall now feels like summer
now i see that they were just leading me to the day that they became one
and when i could finally see that it wasn't the seasons that kept changing on me
but the one who held my heart
