what do you do
when your heart
and head
want two different things
your mind wants to carry you
on the straight and narrow
and your heart wants to lead you
on a path unknown
your mind knows what makes since
but your heart desires the mystery
what do you do when your mind
tells you to ignore your heart
but your heart then overtakes your mind
and you sit and long
for what feels like the unattainable
and wish would escape your mind
when your head tells you to stick
with the one that's safe
but your doesn't drive you crazy
while you heart longs for the one
that makes you blush
and leaves you wanting more
who keeps you tossing
in your sleep
while you dream about him
and everything that he's given you
and has not given you
what do you do
when you fear
your head and heart
finally becoming one
